Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working behind the scenes to bring MR2-Spyder.com back online and secure its future. After some discussions with Justin, who has been hosting the site since we originally built it, has decided to hand over full ownership and responsibility. I’ve now taken that on, and the site is officially under my control moving forward.
This transition started when the possibility of shutting the site down came up due to ongoing hosting costs. Having originally built the site, I didn’t want to see it disappear, so I reached out to take it over and keep it alive. The domain and full site transfer have now been completed, and everything is being brought back online under a new hosting environment.
With that comes a new direction. My goal is to bring new life into the community by rebuilding and expanding the platform. This includes an updated and redesigned homepage, better integration with the forum, and the addition of features that were never fully utilized—such as vendor support, photo galleries, and how-to resources. I’ll also be tying everything into social media to help grow the community and keep content flowing.
At its core, MR2-Spyder.com will remain what it has always been—a place for enthusiasts to share knowledge, document builds, and connect over the platform. The difference now is a renewed focus on making it more active, more useful, and more connected than it’s been in recent years.
There’s still work to be done, but this is just the beginning.
