Anyone know how much fuel rests when the light witches on?

1.5 – 2.0 gallons ……

My light comes up with 2 gallons left. I always test the accuracy of the fuel light shortly after buying a car by waiting till the light switches on and see how much it takes to fill up versus the size of the tank.

Thank you. This is a welcome confirmation. I had arrived at slightly over 9 litres, which coincides nicely with 2 gallons.
9 litres makes a safe 100 km.
