Clear…sorry, I’m just in a 😜 🤡 mood…

“Think as we think”, say many Spyder owners, “or you are abominably wicked, you are a toad”. After I’d thought about, I said “I will then, be a toad.”

Our dome light isn’t a 194 though. It’s a festoon. How did you get a 194 into your dome light???

I always suggest the XenonDepot festoon dome light. Bright but nothing crazy, good color rendition unlike most LEDs, good color. 5400K or so real color, so white with a hint of warmth. No blue.

Hmm that’s $13 for one. Amazon has 4 pack for $5… would I really notice a difference?

Those dirt cheap LEDs are like the McDonalds of beef. They’re gonna be super blue and might start flickering and dying within a year or two.

SBL is a good company.

Yes there’s a clear cover from Mitsubishi, search for Miata clear dome light.

I have Diode Dynamics circa 2016 and it started to flicker. These were early generation and as the drivers have improved, so has the reliability.  I called them and I got a replacement for free shipping. I put that that replacement in my Odyssey. So now I need to shop again.  I’m thinking RED just for shits and giggles. I’ll also get a 3000k just in case. My choices are:

Diode Dynamics 98 lumen (SMF6) or Xenon Depot 90 lumen (6-SMD 5050). Thoughts?

Diode Dynamics is legit. Great company. Can’t go wrong with either. My Lexus is all XenonDepot though.
