This forum needs an Audio & Electronics section

Not just this forum but on a lot of other forums they have killed the audio sections mainly because the hobby of car audio is dead. 

Most will not participate except for I.  

Could be true…I’m not just thinking of audio, though.  Any electronics would fit in that section…backup cam, LED lighting, etc.  I agree that car makers have gotten much better about offering good solutions…but all of our MR2’s are pretty old, so would likely benefit from this discussion.

I moved your subwoofer post into the electronics interior section of the forum. I think that should do for now until there is a little more public outcry but I wouldn’t hold my breath.  

  As far as the manufactures go that supply factory audio they have only got worse.  More connectivity features but at the sacrifice of sound quality.  Probably a good move because a good sounding system is not needed when audio talent and actual musical performance doesn’t require a high fi system. Most music these days just require mono.  

To make a good quality sound system costs money in electronic components that its probably best to turn a higher profit margin without focusing on this area. 

A section for ICE is likely still somewhat relevant on our platform since you would have to at least get a new HU to have things like blue tooth, navigation, … etc.

I wouldn’t mind a forum for it.  It might not get much attention, but it could still be useful for some.  I’m working on some other back-end things now, but we can discuss adding such a forum here and see if it will be good for the community.  Adding it will not be difficult or time consuming.  🙂
