Prepping to Paint

I would image this is the point where you start to get really excited.  Let the transformation begin!  I look forward to seeing the “after” pictures.  Thanks for posting progress on your project.

Thanks guys, we’re hoping to have a couple coats of black on the chassis tomorrow and the fenders/bumpers/doors in a day or two.  After that, the PXR top coats and clear coats by the end of the week if everything goes well.  😀

So, what will the color be?

Looking good. I think its going to be a big improvement. That orange wasn’t working at all. 

I didn’t mind the orange when it was a solid color, but it wouldn’t have been my first choice.  Still a lot to do before we finish up, but it should blend better with the CF pieces.

Going black you must know what your doing. Black is all knowing, no hiding anything

I am by no means qualified to perform any high level of body work or painting.  I am just assisting in the assembly, disassembly, and grunt work – which is a good thing since I want I nice job.  😀
