Overrunning Alternator Decoupler (OAD) Pulley Mod
That’s really funny! Talk about tunnel vision. Been using those calipers for 29 years, having to weld to specific tolerances, never for metric measurements, and never noticed that was there. I probably shouldn’t admit that though. Sometimes when I’ve misplaced my glasses, looking all over the place for half an hour, then realize they’re on my head. Probably shouldn’t admit that either. Oh well, at least my math skills are better because of it. Thanks for pointing that out. 🙂
Isn’t it ironic… that you need your glasses to find your glasses?

Yep, I also need my headlamp. These are great for working on cars, especially at night when it’s too hot to work during the day.
One dealer got back to me. Not in stock.
It might be time to look into other fitments, I believe there were 52mm and 53mm pullies available that should work too. 0.5mm either direction is less than 1% change in drive… Which I believe is negligible. I’ll look them up later this evening.
For those with 1zz who are concerned with exact diameter fitment, before purchasing a decoupler pulley it would be prudent to pull the existing one off and measure it, since we now have evidence of at least 2 different diameters used.
Lol, I’m not admitting to anything anymore. I just got to get some better glasses.
Weird… Dayco 892003

Is this the one you bought?
Take a look at the Mopar; the seat looks very similar to ours.
The pulley used on 2015 Chrysler 200 (all variants) has a 17mm bore and 52mm diameter. This part should be cheaper than the Subaru, and since the 55mm pulley is also a Chrysler part, I feel confident that this one should be able to replace the stock 52.5mm without issue.
Further impressions for the 2ZZ:
Don’t think I can ever go back… Everything just feels so much smoother. Throttle response is a tad quicker, and I am now also confident in saying power delivery from changing into lift is more sudden. The “dip” or lag between hearing lift and feeling lift is gone.
Which one did you install, could you remind us?
