Interest in calendars?

Hello.  I've been toying with the idea of making a Takuban Motorsports calendar that would feature pictures of MR2 Spyders mostly and possibly some FR-S/86, pics.  But possibly just MR2 Spyder.

Anyway, If I had them on my site for something like $10 + shipping would anyone be interested?

Follow up question...  Would anyone be willing to donate a high quality pic of their car in exchange for a 50% discount on the calendar?

Just one opinion...I haven’t used a paper calendar in years. I’d hate for you to spend a lot of time and effort just to charge $10 for the calendar. Others may want one, but at this time, I’ll pass. My brother got me one for Christmas a few years back related to the 300ZX. It sat in a paper pile for years and never got used.

Ahh.  good point.  We use one to just keep track of things in the laundry room.  But paper calendars are becoming less and less relevant I suppose.  I am not even sure where I would put one specifically for myself.

Thanks for the feedback.

Paper calendars, function wise, are stupid. But I still get one every year from a Welsh Terrier group. New Welshie to look at every month! I'm down for an MR2 calendar with photos from our community.

Interesting. That would be one way of having a new "car-of-the month" every month !!

And yes, I still place a paper calendar on my refrigerator every year.  Of course, I still read my newspaper every morning when I eat breakfast and drink my coffee. 😀

I'd buy one for ten bucks and I would love to submit photos to be considered for inclusion.  Let me know if I can help with this project.

OK.  It does sound like there is some interest in this.  Just to have full disclosure, I would have some branding on the calendar.  It won't be super big and in your face, but it will be there.  There would be something on the cover and back page as well as a small blurb/website address on the month sections (the actual calendar section).

One other thing I can do is add some specific date highlights for the community like SADAS if the dates are already known by the time the design is done.

This is not going to be a big money maker or anything for me.  It was just a way to do something simple and useful.  I will likely only print up about 50 calendars.  That way, if I'm stuck with a bunch later, I won't be out too much money.

To get started, go ahead and send your photos to:  submissions2020@takubanmotorsports.com

I'll post more info in here as new devclopments happen.

As for which month would have which car, the only month spoken for is June which is where I'll put a pic of my car.  I'd like to get some pics of cars in the snow for the winter months.

One more thing.  I'd like to feature Mike's  (xbiker)'s car.  Does anyone have any high quality photos of his car?  Also, if people think that would be in poor taste, I apologize.  I just want to try to honor him if possible.

Okay.  Photos submitted for the calendar -- use as many or as few as you wish.  I'm happy to pay for my calendar(s) in advance, if that helps ease the pain of the up-front costs.  Just say the word.

I'll submit photos too! I want September as that's my birthday, if possible.

Thanks for the pic submissions so far.  Keep 'em coming.  As for payment.  Just wait until I have physical calendars in hand.  I appreciate the offers to keep my up front costs down, but I'd rather deliver a smooth experience for everyone.

Photo submissions have sort of stalled.  I have submissions from 3 people so far.  I'd like to get enough to fill most of the calendar of course.  Maybe phattires has a good widebody collection pic or other people with track-day or other shots (perhaps from the recent SADAS meet that I could put in that month...

I'd also like to add some community specific special dates.  So if the date for SADAS 2020 is known, please post that here.  Galo, if your Indy meet is happening next year and you'd like that date put on the calendar, let me know.
