[Sticky] Submit your glamour shots!

I made an important discovery.  At the time of shooting this high contrast scene, I was testing to see how much better film is to digital when it comes to color fidelity, dynamic range and over all aesthetic.  All I can say is we have been deceived. Film photography might be less forgiving and harder but in the right hands with the right lighting it yields superior results that digital still cant match.  As for the aesthetic goes this is modern film not that desaturated style of photography people are going for to make it look like vintage film that often looks like a hot mess of garbage.

There was a huge car meet at Ocean Beach. Started before sunset, was really nice.

Thanks UM. I decided this year to learn how to master wide angle lenses. This is one area where I am weak because it is horribly difficult to get perspective for anything but landscape.  If used correctly it can make some dramatic interesting images that pop out of the frame. The picture of the silver Spyder with the hardtop was used with the tilt feature to give it that dreamy effect. All optics no photoshop.

I bought this new used lens that was introduced way back in 1989. It is probably the most underrated lens I have bought. 

 There was car show I attended in the rain yesterday.
