Oh my...

I've shared this with T, so here's a quick overview on my Spyder's repairs...

A previous owner, me thinks 4(or more) owners ago, tried to pry the oil pan off, breaking the flange of the "Bearing Cap Assembly", repairing it with EPOXY!!! Well, the engine started leaking oil, and I figured it was either the timing chain cover or the front crank seal. I wanted other repairs/replacements(lift bolts and clutch) and had the car at Gator Motorsports, a local Lotus sales and repair shop that hosts Cars and Coffee meets. Anyway, the various repairs and replacements(bought a PPE 2ZZ header and catless test pipe(no 2.5" cat pipe were available, so I installed a cat in this)) took a while.  A local specialty shop, Redstone Performance Engineering(VERY cool place and history, check it out... https://www.redstonepe.com/ ), did the "BCA" welding. The car is now "back home again, here in my driveway, and it feels so great to me(sung to "Back Home Again in Indiana")"!

All this cost what I paid for the car, 76mos ago. I was going to give the car to a grandchild when I die, but now, I'm going to be buried in it...I'll give my BMW E88 135i instead!

Enjoy it, whatever the cost!!!

Thanks, LT! Maybe some day you will hear it...Sebring would be a fun trip, and I'm not getting any younger!

I'll definitely meet you up in Sebring.  That's about 2 hours or so away from me up in the middle of the state (actually in Lake Placid, IIRC).

Like I said, I'm not getting any younger. I've wanted to "do" Sebring since I first read about it in the early '60's. It just seems like a magical, mystical place...for an airport 😆 😜  I just checked ticket prices for next year. A 4 day race pass is $100(very reasonable), and a GA car is $50. Where would be good or the best parking? There are a couple locations listed; 1 Hendricks Field, and 2. East Paddock.

Gotta hit the sack, but I'm seriously thinking March 16-19, 2022...good night!!!

Sorry for the late reply, but I've always camped in Green Park.  It's a bit of a rough area.  But that's part of the magic.  hahaha.  Those other areas are really nice, but you'll probably want an RV of some sort as tent camping is not that comfortable and bathroom options are ... well, it's a race track.  If you go, I'll see if I can get some interest stirred up here and I'll try to go as well.  I've never had to pay to get in.  But that hookup is no longer there.  Still, it's pretty cheap, considering.  I'll just have to make sure I am there with someone with an RV.

No sweat, Justin. Uh, "rough, with cars turned over and set on fire, area", like Watkins Glen in the USGP F1 days? The track does have restrooms, right 🤔

I'll get back on the Sebring website and make a decision on "accommodations".

Take care!
