Thanks for the tip about the plastic frame chafing.   My notes show that topsonline is a retailer that sells tops manufactured by ez-on, gahh, Robbins and  “xtreme”.   Do you know who manufactured your top?   I thought the plastic ring around the window was a feature on Autoberry manufactured tops but I’m not certain.

I make Amateur Armrests - see the Commercial Forum. I also have SMT repair seals available.

@phats

Just saw your post.

Is that a copy/paste or do you actually sell tops?

Bought your under brace. If you sell tops as well, would love to see the cost of a Sonnendeck one.

Do we know which of these manufacturers/retailers have the "updated cables"?

Do they include the strap for the dog ears?

Advisable to purchase new top seals?  What other trim pieces would be good to replace with it?  Looking to grab them all while replacing the top.  Will come up with a parts list soon, but was hoping someone here already had it 🙂

I am so sorry for having missed this question. It is my understanding that they have the in house top manufactured in house. That is what they implied and given their long history in the business, that is plausible. The fabric doesn’t pill but it does get a little hairy texture over time. Of course you have to study it to see that. Folding the top under the hard top was not so good. If I were to do it again I would put a flannel bed sheet taped to the top before folding. There are shiny lines over the supports. I am super over the top. (Pun pun....) Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the info about these.  My soft top is in rough shape too.  While I want a Hard Top, I would also like to have the ability to drive with a soft top and I don't really know when/if I'll be able to get a Hard Top at a good price.
