Hello. My 2005 Spyder needs carpet. Does anyone have suggestions for a replacement source? Does anyone know anything regarding the source below?

https://ridies.com/Product/26727/2003-2005-Toyota-MR2-Spyder-Replacement-Floor-Carpeting

I have no experience replacing carpet. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Just a member.

I do not know about the quality of replacement carpets but having lifted the carpet for various things like running wires for stereo RCA and power cables so it shouldn't be that hard to replace. Just need to remove the center console, seats and maybe some of the center brackets where the stereo is housed and the carpet should come out.

Depending on how the aftermarket carpet is cut you might have to do some trimming and adding holes where the bolts go into the seats. Easy stuff I imagine and maybe adding some stays where it might get pulled might be a good idea so that it doesn't get shifted or folded over.

The car pictured in that link appears to be a RHD. There are probably some minor differences so I would contact the vendor first and check. Good luck!

I contacted Ridies last year. They said they make the carpet for both LHD and RHD MR2's. They also have some other interesting interior stuff.

I have not yet purchased anything from them so I cannot comment on the quality of their products or their customer service.

For research purposes, I believe Cyclehead actually purchased some stuff from them. If I remember, he was not impressed.

Maybe he can comment on them.

I took the carpet out when I installed dynamat to my Spyder years ago.  If I can do it, anyone can do it.  🙂
