I forgot about that one and they probably built it right back then. I still don't think GM with its current management can make a newly revised engine work without major problems.
I remember that car had two key slots f0r valet parking.
Thanks for saving me from finding that, phats 👍 👍
Is that what you have(LT5)?
"Think as we think", say many Spyder owners, "or you are abominably wicked, you are a toad". After I'd thought about, I said "I will then, be a toad."
Thank you, Stephen Crane
Every tax payer knows General Blowhole puts all their eggs in the Corvette basket just so they can get bailed out every 20 years and make half a Prius. They have been saying mid engine corvette since I was just a little kid... it's about damn time. The original mustang prototype was mid engine. Instead we got watered down consumer lifestyle bricks year after year.
A link that has the history of the Corvette with hundreds of pictures of the various model line-ups.

Let me know what dealer you trade it into for your new mid-engine corvette !!! Plus I want a ride .... in the corvette .
Did you think I wouldn't see this .... LOL

Traitor, trader . 😆
Damn you guys, I get bored with things after awhile and like to look at other options...
Is that so bad?

You know what happens to those that leave. A curse becomes them and they end up looking for another Spyder.
I cant tell you how many "upgraded" only to come right back. One guy sold his car to be a family man and soon as his kids graduated high school he was desperately looking for another Spyder after test diving what was new on the market. There was one guy that was so conflicted he kept buying and selling at least four times.
Most reported after owning cars like the Corvette that they could not have the same level of fun on the street unless they were on exit ramps. The only ones that have done well are those that migrated to a MX-5.
There are a lot of cars these days that are made to drive well on the Ring but they come up short when it comes to putting a smile on your face just tooling around.

I haven't left yet, and it will take something special for me to trade the Spyder away.
I am just doing aa little fishing, and I hooked phats immediately, but maybe there are other catches out there.

It's pretty dope. They have the price subsidized so low we might see a few on the road. I love how it's not an electrified AWD monstrosity. If I had the money, I'd have a hard time deciding between this and an RC-F. This is quite a bit lighter.
Considering the Miata is sub 30k$, I highly doubt we will see another midengine roadster from Toyota. This reminds me of what the Nsx could have been.
if the numbers hold true to what has been floating around... i.e. sub $60k start, weight under 3400 lbs @ 495hp... it might be added to the stable... this is exactly what the NSX should have been...
the biggest disappointment for me is no manual option... but that 0-60 time maeks sense with dual clutch...
I stayed up and watched the reveal. I could nitpick a few things that I do not like about the car but the price and the performance overrule any reservations about it. Chevrolet finally made a mid-engine Corvette and is still selling it cheap. This thing solidifies the Corvettes title as the best bang for the buck new sportscar on the planet.
And it has a lift off roof for those that like a convertible!
