Here is my childhood friends 1976 Ferrari 308 GTB.  This was taken a long time ago when I went to visit him in Seattle WA and the car was unloved.  Around 2001 we worked on this car for a good few months when he was living local and did I help do the major service.  Remembering the times when we use to watch Magnum PI as kids and hoping to see a glimpse of the Ferrari it was nice that we were able to share that experience with this car. At the time of purchase he had a kid on the way and his snotty co-workers and neighbors gave him passive aggressive crap that I witnessed. He gave it right back and said you have to have your priorities.  At the time of these pictures  he was going through a divorce  and I was called as a witness to some child abuse but while I was there I was able to capture these pictures. Last I heard the car has been sent out for professional restoration since his work keeps him busy and Im waiting to see and drive it again.

How does it drive compared to a more modern car like the Spyder. I can say its slow and the body integrity is nowhere as tight. It does what it can for an old car however there are some qualities that are lost  with modern cars as this  feels very Italian with lovely quirks that only a foreign car can give you and that is part of the appeal especially with a gated shifter. The carbs on this little flat crank V8 makes some of the best sounds I have ever heard. The looks it gets makes you feel like a rock start even if its just an old 308.
