We had this fun thread on HID Planet. People would just throw up the song they're listening to, or whatever song is on their mind. It grew to 127 pages with a fairly small user base! There's some amazing stuff in there and it's wonderful to go back and listen through it all once in a while. So I figured I'd start one here, hopefully people will like it!
First post will be controversial. Megadeth - Sweating Bullets. First listen I thought it was funny, almost comedic. Third listen... I kinda dig it!

Lately I've been listening to Dubioza Kolektiv... my Bosnian friend turned me on to them, and I'm really digging it.

Listening to the artists who will be appearing at ProgStock in Rahway, NJ next weekend!
Really, I can't get enough of these guys

Going in another direction entirely, here is Zakk Wylde playing and singing Black Sabbath's Nativity In Black on a Hello Kitty guitar.

I wish I could listen to something. My nephew dunked my high resolution player. Im waiting for the new one and its lost in transit.
My former Spyderchat guest will have to go without our music today. In other news Sandisk has a 1 terabyte micro SSD card.
I plan to listen to every song posted in this thread. It's great fun. Here's my song for the day. The Weeknd's old stuff is absolutely excellent.

I just came across this while I was searching for Andy Mckee to post here:
Now the truth is, I'll be out in the shop most of today listening to country music on the cheap sound system that is a conglomeration of components I purchased at yard sales a few years back.
@haloruler64, why do you think that song is controversial? I'm genuinely curious, as I don't really view it that way. Then again, my late teen years I spent listening to Megadeth and other similar bands. They were almost a decade old at that time but the music was great IMO.
As for right now, I'm listening to some Tyler Childers. He's an eastern Kentucky guy who's seen or went through what he sings about and you can feel the struggles and emotions in his voice.
Later I'll be wrenching some so it'll probably be some Rob Zombie, Static-X, Mudvayne and other similar music.
For some weird reason I can't stop watching this for the hilarity. Its just amazing that this band only had one real talent that carried the entire band. The rest were just for show.

The song itself isn't. I think it would be here as it doesn't really fit people's style here?

I like Megadeath. Not the biggest fan but I felt they were better than Metallica.
As I have got older my tastes have changed or should I say expanded.
This is what im listening to now only because I seen it on the Righteous Gemstones.

Oh, I gotcha. I always like threads like this as it shows all the members different styles or even how they may be feeling at the time. I always seem to build a mental picture of members as I interact with them and read their posts, then a thread like this pops up and it surprises me with some of the musical tastes as it doesn't match the mental picture. Same goes with meeting members in real life. Of course facebook has done away with some mystery.
Anyway, I'm enjoying some Black Keys to wind down before I hit the bed for the day.
Megadeth better then Metallica? Now THAT is controversial.
Little change of pace from the metal I've posted. Something Russian. Ignore the video of the first one, no idea what it is. Second one is live.
