Every site requires cookies. For decades. A new EU law just requires sites to tell you that they're using cookies is all.

That other site had a advertiser trying to run a script that was attempting to save a .txt document to my desktop.... malware/virus/snooper.

I clicked on one of the icons on the other site and it downloaded an app on my IPad. I don’t even know how that is possible as I have to approve apps that gets downloaded. It was a first.
A few years ago my system resources were maxed out until I exited SC. It turns out it was the advertisement allowing audio and whatever else through. They denied it until I taken a video of it and then they blamed Google and their techs were working on it.

I've seen this before when using a browser allowing Javascript. At minimum they are running some sort of bitminer. But hey, it's a free country, err... I mean internet or something.
I have gotten on many sites without having them post a notice. The "old SC" never did...it would state "all cookies are gone(my words)" after logging off. That is why I made my comment.

Look into the GDPR. I've seen dozens of sites warn me about cookies in the last year because of it. But yes, all sites use cookies. Every single one, including this site.
