The movie that makes me tear up is over the top with Sly Stallone. Father and son themed movie where the rich ex father in law is the villain.  It’s about competitive arm wrestling.

Yes. I remember that movie. The Rocky of Arm Wrestling, with kid included !!. I will watch it again.

I don't know what or why it is, but I actually do find myself involved very often in arm-wrestling challenges for the custody of my children. 

Shame no one ever takes me up on it as I'm fairly sure I could have lost them all. ☹️

What makes it a tear jerker is that Kenny loggins soundtrack creeping up during every emotional scene. Sure it’s bad acting but it’s classic 80s that is feel good with many layers that converge into that last scene.
