I have a Question-...What time zone is being used for the time stamps on the posts?

I don't think it is in the continental US.   Will it change?

You can change it in your profile.

Can we get a "New Post" button?

The Recent post button is very much like the new post button and the most current post is at the top.  I like it better than the one on SC because at a glance you can see a glimpse of the posters messages before  you dive in.  On SC you have to hover over the thing with that ridiculous UI that is just too busy.

Hopefully, the all date and times are stored in UTC and then converted to local time (chosen I'm profile) for display.  I don't know this for sure.

Well, not the new sc type but the old one. I liked how it shows the last 24 hours of new post instead of all recent post. For me, it's an easier way to consume content but Ill adjust. 🙂

I am having trouble uploading pictures. The site will not accept even a 1.1 MB file, but sometimes I can upload files that are bigger; I uploaded one that is 4.2MB but it blocks me for smaller ones. Is there a time limit, perhaps, like you cannot upload over 5 mb in a certain timeframe?  Somewhere it states that 5MB is the limit.

I think that statement is wrong, but the actual site behavior is inconsistent. Every so often, it lets me upload one over 4 mb, but usually it rejects it. I have no trouble uploading files under 1 mb.  Not a whine, just reporting a confusing user experience. Still appreciate all the hard work that's gone into this site!

What type of file are you trying to upload? I may be blocking it.

There is a 5MB size limit in place. This should be more than sufficient for compressed Jpg images.

The following file types are not allowed what so ever and are explicitly blocked this is for both spam control and privacy/security. If you need something larger or different, contact myself or LT and we'll upload it directly to the server.

htm|html|rtf|xml|xls|xlsx|zip|rar|tar|gz|bzip|7z|sql

Jpeg. Many were 4 to 4.5 MB, but it was blocking a 1.2 MB file also.  I was able to shrink them enough that it let them through.

Ok, so there is three places the file size can be limited. In the forum software, which is set at 5MB, the second is in WordPress, which is set at 64MB, and the last is within PHP on the server. I'm unsure what that limit is set at. That would be a question for LT, however I would assume since I have no issues with the WP side, that that's not the issue. I'll look into it more.

Not sure what the limit is in php. I will check this week.  I think the error is being caused by something else though.

The inconsistency was the weird part. Almost want to blame "transient internet conditions". Could have been timeouts, but it was throwing the error pretty quickly.

I was using my home PC and a fiber conection. No wireless anywhere in the path.

I shouldnt be chewing up that much disk anyway. Was hard to find the sweet spot between a tiny (adequate) 370k image and a glorious 3,000 by 2,000 beautiful 4.9MB disk-hog.

Hopefully, the change to VPS will help with that.  That will happen this week.
