How to set your air pressure using the tire load rating chart .

I found some interesting information. It would seem that some AutoX people believe the triangle indicators on tires are used for setting tire pressures by observing the level of the scrub of the tires as it reaches the tip of the triangle.  

 This is not true. The triangles on the tires are indicators for the location of the wear bars on the body of the tire. Do not use this to set pressures otherwise you could possibly under inflate them.  

The best way is to chalk the tires width and observe the pattern of wear or use a pyrometer. Keep in mind that what you should be looking for is not complete evenness because toe and camber play a part in the inside wheel.  You should take note of the middle wear or the lack of wear and try to adjust pressures were it is a little more even with the sides.
