Looking for an 03-05 Toyota MR2 Spyder that's had a more powerful engine installed (e.g. a Honda K20).
Prefer a black car but will take any color if the engine swap was clean and car is running well.
9K 2004 original motor excellent condition 79K miles I have zero interest in negotiations of any kind it is a take it or leave it price
I'm looking for a car with a hipo engine swap, thanks.

Even for me, T?

@galo I’d negotiate with you my friend as neither of us know what a “hipo” engine is 😉
My "hipo" guess is "hi(gh)po(wer)", but...hmmmm...I guess I could park the G35 in front of the house...

@galo that’s ridiculous it’s a hair dresser car. Hipo must be short for greetings (hi) poop (po) assuming the desired seller has shit for Brains

Huh...what's ridiculous?
Happy New year, Bud!

@t-bone Okay. LSD or other options?
I've currently reached out to someone closer, and will continue to look for something closer, but if I don't find anything mind if I reach out again?
Hopefully I can find something just as good, but much closer than a plane ride + ~16 hour drive back.
@lokixsun It has the LSD, Installed stainless brake lines, Original Corky's breast plate , FSTB (forget brand), Brass speed play shifter bushings & red shift knob, TRD QUICK SHIFTER! (try finding one of these) Leather seats & matching shift boot, MR2 door inserts, MRS wheel badge see above) Devs keyhole covers, the door sill bling metal strips, a laser cut MR2 Pull insert. Roof is in good shape No leaks but the cord attachments for preventing ears need repair. original wheels in good shape Blue MRS wheel caps I think I also have the originals, set of 15" winter wheels (extra, 4 fronts as I recall used only for cold weather car has never seen snowy roads car is garaged for winter months these days) everything else is OEM radio CD and cassette players work last I checked. Edit: also have an old IPOD converter that plays off a phone on the CD setting. Original cable is old school iPod connecter but works and chargers with an lighting adaptor. Carpet in great shape floor mats (original OEM are in good shape) plastic scratches in cockpit minimal
Last I check 79K on the ODO, Oil changed every 10K german Castro 0W30 since late 2004. Single owner car I bought new in may of 2004. All three keys and two remotes. Owners manual. Front plastics and under plastics are off the car but I have them in my attic.
2004 BGB -both volumes that would also be available for sale if I decide to sell need to discuss with the family and my soul if I am really ready to give this up. Offering above asking price could help with that. This is a one of kind single owner car just below garage queen status.
lokixsun, I can totally vouch for this car. I've known T for 13+ years, shared many spirited drives with him and taught him to not get mad when he dropped a bolt in his garage, while working on his Spyder.
Yes, the snows are mounted on 6" Spyder front wheels...I know this 'cause he got them from me 😀
I was considering buying the Spyder, but a stock Spyder no longer interests me.
IF you really want a Spyder, buy this car(IF T does indeed buckle to the thought)... the flight and wonderful drive home would be worth it. I've bought, and driven home, 2 Spyders, far from Indy; 1 in Jacksonville FL(12/2012, sadly departed) and 1 in Albuquerque NM(5/2015, still driving it). The first trip was nice, but the second was kinda epic....longish story for later, if you're interested.
Go for it, if T does sell...

...and T, if you do sell, then I probably will join you. The thought of getting a 128i coupe, similar to Patrick's, is intriguing to me, especially now that I have a 135i convertible...but, I could have 3 cars to choose from... 🤒 😳 😜 😲 😎
