Hey all, Happy Thanksgiving!
Just looking for some feedback on Porsche GT3 Gray Black for my MR2.
its non metallic and I haven’t had much first hand experience with that.
If anyone has photos of nonmetallic gray on an MR2, that would be ideal.
Thanks!
Don't do it. That Porsche looks awful.

Yeah I agree, that color is horrible. I really don't know what it is about these crazy paint trends to stand out. First they want to go to one extreme of having the car in burnt orange or green glitter and then it's the drab colors like cement gray which looks like a community recreation room. The look at me factor is played out like a John Gotti silk suit.
I would say the only flashy color that really looks great is pearl white on the Spyder. There is a member that had it done and it looks incredible but you need the TRD side skirts.
Most of the really nice paint jobs I have seen lately were done using the clear coat. Aluminum pigments, ice pearls, subtle ghost pearls, etc.
My wife at some point wants me to get our Spyder repainted but sticking to a variation of silver (already silver). Might entertain the idea of something in the clearcoat when it comes to it.
I'm a big fan of Toyota cement personally. Looks great on Tacos.

I have mentioned this before, but everyone knows that dark green is the best color. Metallic strongly suggested.
Second: dark green, once again with the metallic. It's good enough to be first and second place. Yup, really.
Third: dark blue (metallic).
I thought this was common knowledge, but I don't mind helping out. 😉

So after painting a model form in this “gray black” color, I’m going forward with it. I’m hoping it translates well to the larger canvas because it has some great depth and I like dark charcoal/black in general.
the photo of the Porsche actually looks a lot lighter than my sample, maybe it’s not the same color as I sampled.
thanks for the feedback!
