Opinions on my tire lettering?

I bought some toyo oil based paint pens from Japan and used them to do some tire lettering on my yokohama advan flevas. First time trying this.

I personally like the look. However, I'm curious to hear what all of you think of the finish quality and just lettering in general.

I didn't take too much time on making it perfect or layering. My process:

clean tire, wipe with 20/80 ipa/h20 in letters.

Fill letters with paint. Let cure.

Sand off sloppiness gently with 400 grit.

Tire shine.

I went for a drive and it stayed perfectly intact.

I haven’t seen your version yet because you might have to post the link again but from the ones I have seen I think it looks ugly and distracting.

It looks like some kind of car I can’t take seriously and more or less like a Pixar cartoonish recreation.

Is the forum removing links?

I would also like to see this. I enjoy tire lettering.

RIA, do YOU like the way it looks(I see no pics)? If so... 😎

The links do not appear on the first post I believe to prevent spam. Also we have to approve the first few posts before they are visible.

I think if the link is given again it will work.

Yeah I like the look. I usually think it's kinda goofy so I was doing it as a joke and ended up liking it. Convinced my friend to do his too.

I like it.  I've seen it done on some other race tires too.  Although the person that did it had to break the pens open and use a brush to paint them since the pens just didn't work that well.  Glad to hear that yours worked.

That is tasteful...and the red adds a nice touch.

I "white-d" the Dunlop on my Sprites tires 50 years ago. The letters were only .5-.75" tall...one could barely see them, but I knew it and liked it.

Now, would I do that to OHSTU tires? First, I wouldn't buy them...second, IF I had them, no I wouldn't.

Again, do what makes you happy 👍 👍

Needs another coat or two but I like it. Just a bit wavey in the coverage.
