Take a look at these Boxsters and look at the side air intake- what I was planning was to take (another set of) the air intakes and have them painted the color of the hardtop:

(Mine posted in the middle of the series). Anyway, how do you think it would look with different color (same as the hardtop) air intakes on the sides? Positive and negative opinions are welcome. Thanks.

I make Amateur Armrests - see the Commercial Forum. I also have SMT repair seals available.

Something seems wrong, there are a few posts where the images have been removed.

I just uploaded them all to Google Photos, so here’s the link to that:

So as the Porsche’s have a silver colored side vent vs. black, I was thinking of doing that to my Spyder as well to match the hard top
I was able to directly link the pics- so I’m wondering is how will it look on my Spyder:
That’s a Spyder pic with the gray on black- looks good, no?
That black Spyder looks interesting with this wheels.
Aren't those wheels from a Lotus?

I think you are right. It makes the rear of that car look fat in a good way.
I have the same wheel sizes and my rear compared to the front has what I call that 19th century big bicycle wheel look.

I can't make up my mind if I like those sizes or not. I would like new wheels but the logical part of me says only the same size slightly wider and much less weight.
On the side vents, if your going a different color I would match them to the wheels and hardtop.

a member had the elise wheels on his spyder here in NJ... omg they rode so rough i thought my teeth were going to rattle out... i'm not sure if it was the tires he used, his coilovers or the roads here... or maybe all three... i really liked the look and considered doing that upgrade but i didn't want to subject myself to that ride quality...

Its probably his coilovers. Most people that own the Spyder get terrible coilovers that are not the researched ones. I have the same wheel sizes and very thin sidewalls with tires that are stiff and my car drives like a dream. Its stiff but not harsh at all. Those that had a ride in my car cant believe I have coilovers.
What coilovers are you running Dev?
I drove in a Rsx type S that had ksport coilovers which felt wonderful. Something told me if I had the same brand coilovers on the Spyder I would not have the same results.

I have the TEIN SSP. They were researched as a street coilover and mild track. They are really nice and grip the road well unlike the cheap Chinese stuff that bounces.
